About Hansgrohe
Hansgrohe was started in 1901 in Black Forest by a man called Hans Grohe. He created a tin shower for the home bathroom, amongst other metal goods such as brass pans, precise watch parts and stovepipe rosettes. The company grew to become a shower specialist, and the founder was still impressively developing products in his old age, such as when he invented the wall bar for shower heads at the age of 82. This innovation has gone on to be a standard fitting in every shower since. With water-saving showers, Hans Grohe was way ahead of his time in designing a resource-saving, climate-protecting sanitation method to conserve water.
Hansgrohe as a company is still presided over by a direct descendant of the founder and has grown from a small enterprise with three employees to a globally recognised and celebrated company with around 5,600 employees and 21 sales offices.
